Making a pregnancy decision can be difficult for many. You may be feeling like no one understands. Or you may have opinions coming at you from all directions. We talk to women every week who are struggling to make a pregnancy decision. Some are considering termination and still have questions.
Our Abortion Information Consultation Services
At this appointment you can expect:
1. A urine pregnancy test and limited obstetrical ultrasound the same day or at a follow up appointment.
2. Assessment of your reproductive health and medical history.
3. Recommendation of STD testing.
4. Review of abortion information according to your state law.
5. Medical personnel willing to listen and answer questions you may have.
6. Respect for your pregnancy decision.
Abortion Information Consultation for Medical Abortion
If you are considering a medical abortion, or more commonly called the abortion pill, we will discuss the medication you would receive from the abortion provider. We will answer questions and tell you what you might expect. We are here to listen to your concerns and fears. Abortion Information Consultation for Surgical Abortion
If you are considering a surgical abortion, we will review the different procedures available based on weeks of pregnancy and what you can expect with each type.
We will:
- Answer any questions you have.
- Listen to your concerns and fears.

WV Women's Right to Know Law
The WV Women’s Right to Know Law requires that physicians and their agents provide pregnant women with information concerning pregnancy and prenatal care, abortion, the risks of abortion, fetal development, alternatives to abortion, and other information. The purpose of this law is to make sure each woman is fully informed before a pregnancy decision is made. Women’s Care Center will equip you, so you have all the knowledge necessary to make the difficult decision about your pregnancy.

What You Need to Know About Your Appointment
Below are some important items you may be wondering about as you prepare to visit our clinic:
Your Identification (ID)
You will need to bring identification (preferably a photo ID). Acceptable forms of identification are driver's license, school ID, birth certificate, social security card, or passport.
Fill out Paperwork
You will be asked to complete paperwork prior to your appointment so arriving a few minutes earlier than your appointment time is recommended.
No Insurance or Payment Needed
All of our services are at no cost to you so no payment or insurance is needed.
Informed Reproductive Health Care
Our services are free and confidential. Our center offers accurate information through pregnancy options education. We do not provide or refer any patient for abortion services. The information on this website is intended for general education purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional and/or medical advice. We staff licensed healthcare professionals who will meet with you and discuss your individual needs.
